The annual event will be held this weekend, September 6-8, and will include a variety of events including: a fun run for children ages 12 and under, an apple pie and dessert contest and a showcase of artwork from artists across the country.
Held at the Rochester Park in Rochester, MI, the Art & Apples Festival is ranked in the top 30 of the nation's best art festivals by Sunshine Artist Magazine. It is also Michigan's second largest fine art festival with an average attendance of over 125,000 festival-goers and 290 artists. In addition to artists showcasing their work in a variety of mediums including textiles, watercolor, woodworking, glass, pottery and jewelry among others, the event also features local entertainment acts, a free Kids Art Zone and three food courts.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Paint Creek Center for the Arts, a regional nonprofit art center located in downtown Rochester, among other local nonprofits.
